Hi! I’m Maddie

I’m a Minneapolis running coach and mom who loves running around the lakes, chasing my son, and sharing my passion for running with others.

My running journey started in high school, but cross-country skiing was my first love until an unfortunate accident with an evergreen tree (don’t worry, the tree is fine). Since my first marathon in 2013, I've been hooked!

I was born and raised in Minnesota. I graduated from Edina High School and have a B.A. in Psychology and Political Science from St. Olaf College and a Master's in Public Policy and Leadership from the University of St. Thomas. My husband Sean and I tied the knot in 2019, just before COVID. Our son Luke joined the team in 2021, and I ran my first postpartum marathon at Boston in 2022.

Running was always a place just for me even before life got crazy. I’ve found that amidst the biz-ee-ness of life, it’s continued to be space just for me where I can find peace and joy. I also love being able to show my son that he can and should go after his dreams.

For the past decade, I've been coaching friends for fun, and now it's official with my RRCA, Pre, and Postnatal Certification and Joyful Runner Coaching! I can't wait to help you find joy in your running journey.

Ready to run?
Let’s do this!

  • Long runs around the Minneapolis lakes, cross-country skiing, and spending time with my husband Sean and son Luke.

  • I've done Boston 4 times, so that's definitely a favorite. A recent favorite is New York City, which I ran in 2023. Chicago is also a blast! It's a lifelong goal of mine to run all the Major Marathons.

  • Marathon: 3:07 (sub-3 is next!)
